What to Check When Installing a Digital Printing Machine

Installing a digital printing machine means evaluating ambient conditions, the electrical infrastructure and ink-machine compatibility together; skipping any one of these can cause print quality or operating issues shortly after installation.

What to Check Before Installation

The installation site is assessed on-site by the technical team for temperature and humidity fluctuations, dust levels and whether the electrical infrastructure matches what the machine requires — this assessment happens before the machine arrives on site.

What Usually Causes Problems

Most feed or print quality issues that appear after installation trace back to ambient conditions or electrical infrastructure not being properly assessed during installation; temperature and humidity swings affect ink flow, while unstable power affects the electronics.

What Gets Checked During Installation

Grounding and cable routing, whether the ink series to be used is compatible with the machine's print head and feeding system, and whether the space around the machine allows for maintenance and access are each verified one by one during installation.

First Steps After Commissioning

Once installation is complete, the first prints are used to run a nozzle check and check color consistency; these initial checks are carried out together with the technical team and become the reference point for the periodic maintenance that follows.
